On December 8, a game tournament on the board game “Danger in Jungles” and a discussion of social performance for students of the College of Economics and Technology of the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” took place. Social pedagogues and psychologists of general secondary schools of Chernihiv were invited to participate: №12, №29, №27, №31, №2, №28, №11, №1. During the tournament, 16 social educators and psychologists held master classes on the use of board games, received certificates of mentors of the project “Steps to a safe community: bullying prevention in the youth environment” and copies of games for implementation preventive measures with students.
Thanks to the game (answer options for possible behavior in a given situation, developed by a psychologist – an expert in the prevention of bullying and violence), participants understand that the model of bully behavior will not create a situation of future success, but tolerant and conflict-free behavior will achieve goals. The uniqueness of social performance is that through dramatization a situation of emotional consolidation of knowledge acquired during the game is created. The game and the performance draw imaginary parallels between the animal world and the human world, with emphasis on people’s ability to empathize, tolerance, kindness and empathy.
The review of the social performance “People are not animals”, which is aimed at enhancing the emotional perception of the problem of bullying and its consequences, provoked a lively discussion among the participants under the moderation of an expert psychologist of the project, Ph.D. Maksom K.V.
